the graph reads bottom-to-top: specific tags below, what they
imply above. An arrow points at what a tag implies; a dashed box was
reached through a sibling.

Danbooru tag atlas
45,501 implications over 119,800 tag names — all of it, in this page
what this is
Danbooru tags imply other tags: katana implies sword,
and sword implies weapon. This page holds every one of
those implications on the site, plus five ways of reading them. Nothing is
fetched while you use it — the whole dataset is already here.
start here
01
Look a tag up
Press / and type. Every view follows whichever tag
you pick.
02
Read what it touches
The right-hand panel lists what it implies and what implies it.
Focus draws the same thing as a graph.
03
Collect what you need
Pin tags to the basket, then export them as names, CSV,
JSON, or a comma-joined sidecar string.
the five views
words this page uses
implies — a → b: everything tagged
a is also b. Arrows always run specific → general.
family — a group of tags joined by implications, named
after its root: the one tag that implies nothing further. There are
9,505 of them.
connected group — everything reachable from a tag by
following implications in either direction. Usually the same as its
family, but a tag with two roots joins two families into one group.
closure — every tag that reaches a tag transitively, not
just its direct children.
implied by / implies — the two headline numbers on a
tag: how many tags reach it, and how many it reaches, at any depth.
Σ — in the Tree, the size of that branch's whole subtree.
depth — the longest implication chain under a tag. The
entire graph is only five deep.
≥100 posts — a liveness line: below it a tag is usually
too thin to be worth much. Drawn on the Landscape, counted in the Tree.
deprecated — retired by Danbooru. Their implications are
retired with them, so they show up in search but never in the graph.
off-graph — a name with no implications at all — most of
the 119,800. Search finds them; the graph views cannot draw them.
alias — an old name that redirects (weapons →
weapon). Searching an alias opens its target.
filters & the basket
The filter bar applies to every view at once. Category chips and
min posts narrow what the graph views draw; deprecated and
off-graph tags only scope what search will find. Pin tags from anywhere —
p on the selection, shift-click a node in Focus, a Tree checkbox, or
+ basket to take a whole closure or boxed region at once. The basket
survives a reload. Double-click a row in Tree to re-root the outline on
it; shift-click an Atlas tile to inspect it without descending.
